Over the years Lisa has extensively studied various styles of yoga, ranging from Ashtanga, Hatha, and Vinyasa yoga. Borrowing pearls of wisdom from each of these forms and from the incredible array of amazing teachers that she has been blessed to study with, her classes are a synthesis of her personal practice and life experience. Although Lisa has an avid yoga practice, she strives to encompass yoga as a way of life. Lisa has always sought a spiritual path, which included spending extensive time in Southeast Asia, immersed in the Buddhist culture. Yet, the yoga mat is where she truly realized her purpose. Yoga has been influential in so many aspects of her life, and she is honored to have the opportunity to share her passion to others.
Lisa has also studied children's yoga with the founder of Karma Kids Yoga, Shari Vilchez-Blatt in New York City, Heart and Soul Work with Children with Shakta Kaur Khalsa of the Radiant Child Yoga Program, and post natal yoga trainings with world renowned author of Yoga Mom, Buddha Baby, Jyothi Larson. She is the co-founder and co-creator of Socialization Station, Mainly Kids Yoga, and Dana Hot Yoga. She has brought children's yoga to local schools and afterschoool programs, with an adept ability to share the joys of yoga to countless children.
Dana Hot Yoga has been featured on The 10 Show, Fox 29, Main Line Magazine, and Main Line Today. In addition, Lisa has published articles in Yoga Living Magazine.
Lisa has recently completed Doctoral studies in Special Education. She has researched and developed an integrative yoga based program entitled Body Centered Therapy, which is designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
She is the proud mother of two daughters, who also share a love for yoga...her little yogini's. Of course, there is her dog Buddha, too! |

Lexi was first introduced to yoga when she was about eight years old, when her father would transform the toy-cluttered living room into a yoga studio. Over the years, her practice has deepened and she has begun to explore and appreciate the many benefits yoga has created in her daily life. Growing overwhelmed with all the thinking and planning that kept her mind from ever finding some peace and quiet, she was incredibly relieved to find that yoga could teach her to drop out of her head and into her body. Inspired by how good her own practice made her feel, she began a Power Yoga teacher training with Bill Raup of Power Yoga Works in Philadelphia. She looks forward to sharing her love of yoga and hopes to help her classes get in touch with themselves and maybe even their toes! |

Having been involved in a serious accident almost one year ago, Richard is certain that he would not be at his current stage of recovery had it not been for yoga. "It was a wonderful feeling to get back to my mat after lying in bed for so many months. Working safely back to my pre-accident level of ability has allowed me to appreciate and come to a deeper understanding of proper technique to avoid injury." Though classes are vigorous, all students will be able to participate in meaningful ways. This may be facilitated with pose modifications that make accommodations for injuries or the use of props.
A great deal of Richard's training has been in the Anusara style of yoga, the lessons learned here have been the most beneficial to enhancing the experiences of his students. Anusara is a non dogmatic hatha yoga system that emphasizes alignment and a "celebration of the heart." His studies in the Pranakriya style with Yoganad Michael Carrol have also had a major influence on his teaching style. Richard strives to make the classes heteach fun, mindful, and accessible. |

Sara was first introduced to yoga while in college, but it wasn't until years later that its practice really came to her as something more than a form of calisthenics. As her relationship with yoga began to evolve out of the physical and into an inquiry with herself, a deeply personal transformation began to occur that eventually brought the kind of ease in her daily life that she often found on her mat. In November of 2008 Sara finally decided to embark on a month long teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica where she spent every day inspired by both beautiful people and the lush jungle.
While Sara maintains an Interdisciplinary approach to her yoga practice, pulling from various styles, she loves the meditative and dance-like quality of Hot Yoga. The combination of a heated room and repetitive movements gives the body and the soul a workout like none other. Having the opportunity to share this love with others is one of the greatest gifts, and Sara is forever grateful to be able to learn and grow with an amazing community. |
Gina believes deeply in the transforming and healing power of yoga for all beings with out exception. She teaches vinyasa simply because it is the form that she loves. She is 200 hr. Baptiste certified as well as Baptiste Level 1 and Assit certified. She is grateful to her teachers and for the opportunity to pass on the message of yoga.

Rachael M. began practicing yoga in high school looking for something to keep her calm and focused during these stressful and confusing years. She always loved stretching and staying limber with dance and gymnastics as a young girl and found yoga satisfied all these needs. She loves that yoga keeps working after she leaves her matt and causes her to think about and make positive choices for her body, mind and spiritual health. Rachael is also a runner and believes that yoga is the yin to this yang. It compliments her running by keeping her muscles long and flexible allowing her to run longer and helping to avoid injury. The two together provide her the perfect balance.
Rachael continued her practice through college, graduate school and the beginning of her professional career, increasing her love and appreciation of yoga as it enhanced her focus during this journey helping her achieve her goals. She recently trained with Bill Raup of Power Yoga Works in the fall of 2009. She looks forward to sharing with her students her love of yoga, teaching them a fun way to stay centered and healthy as well as learning from her students and deepening her own practice.
