Penelope began practicing yoga as a way to stretch, strengthen, and soothe her body as she trained as a modern dancer. She studied Vinyasa Hatha Yoga under TaraMarie Perri in New York City, and began her certification in the Baptiste Power Yoga style under the tutelage of Bill Raup in Philadelphia. Penelope's class focuses on grounding and stretching of the mind and body together, moving at an organic rhythm while focusing on proper alignment and mindful transitions. She is honored to be able to work with her fellow yogis to find the light and purpose in each of their practices.
Penelope's love of yoga also stems from her love of dance, which brought her to Philadelphia in 2007 to join Philadanco! (The Philadelphia Dance Company), with which she tours as a performing member. She is thankful for this transition and the beautiful opportunities it has given her to share her passions with others. Namaste."

Maureen took her first yoga class in 1999 and has been in wonder of it's healing powers ever since. Her desire to be more connected with her body inspired her to enroll in the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, where she graduated in June of 2007 with a Diploma in Brennan Healing Science. Her senior project for the program was written on the connection between yoga and healing. Maureen believes that every body can benefit from a yoga practice and is passionate about helping others gain a deeper awareness of and connection to their body and internal energy. She earned her yoga teacher's certification from Dhyana Yoga in February 2007 and looks forward to learning about yoga and bodywork the rest of her life. “I love that yoga is a truly individual practice, that it's not about how easily you can touch your toes but how mindful you are getting there."

Julie was first introduced to yoga when she viewed Rodney Yee's DVD's, and she has loved it ever since. Back then it inspired her to begin a long overdue weight loss journey, in which she ultimately lost over 30 pounds. She attributes yoga to the physical well being, growth and awareness that she now enjoys in her life.
As a teacher she has gained the ability to share her passion and the limitless benefits of yoga with all her students. Through her training in the Baron Baptiste Power yoga style she has encouraged students to be present in their practice, connecting the mind and body through a flow of postures. She provides a comfortable environment for yoga practitioners new and old with a focus on mindful breathing and presence throughout each class. She is grateful for being able to share this, especially with new students who are just beginning to experience the amazing energy and healing that comes from a deep yoga practice. |

Sara was first introduced to yoga while in college, but it wasn't until years later that its practice really came to her as something more than a form of calisthenics. As her relationship with yoga began to evolve out of the physical and into an inquiry with herself, a deeply personal transformation began to occur that eventually brought the kind of ease in her daily life that she often found on her mat. In November of 2008 Sara finally decided to embark on a month long teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in Nosara, Costa Rica where she spent every day inspired by both beautiful people and the lush jungle.
While Sara maintains an Interdisciplinary approach to her yoga practice, pulling from various styles, she loves the meditative and dance-like quality of Hot Yoga. The combination of a heated room and repetitive movements gives the body and the soul a workout like none other. Having the opportunity to share this love with others is one of the greatest gifts, and Sara is forever grateful to be able to learn and grow with an amazing community. |
