Lisa has practiced and loved yoga since 1999, and is a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. Her teaching style has evolved to encompass the benefits of ashtanga and vinyasa yoga, with intention to deeply engage her student's to the mind, body, and spiritual connection. Although Lisa has an avid yoga practice, she strives to encompass yoga as a way of life. Lisa has always sought a spiritual path, which included spending extensive time in Southeast Asia, immersed in the Buddhist culture. Yet, the yoga mat is where she truly realized her purpose. Yoga has been influential in so many aspects of her life, and she is honored to have the opportunity to share her passion to others. Lisa has had the wonderful opportunity to train with Ashtanga greats Bryan Kest and David Keil, while continuing to seek additional training opportunities to deepen her yoga practice and teaching techniques. In addition to Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa style training, she has also studied children's yoga with the founder of Karma Kids Yoga, Shari Vilchez-Blatt in New York City, Heart and Soul Work with Children with Shakta Kaur Khalsa of the Radiant Child Yoga Program, and post natal yoga trainings with world renowned author of Yoga Mom, Buddha Baby, Jyothi Larson. She is the co-founder and co-creator of Socialization Station, Mainly Kids Yoga, and Dana Hot Yoga. She has brought children's yoga to local schools and afterschoool programs, with an adept ability to share the joys of yoga to countless children. Lisa has been featured on Fox 29, and has published articles in Yoga Living Magazine. Lisa is also a certified special education teacher with extensive experience working with children and adults with specific needs, particularly individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Education, and is currently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Special Education. Her doctoral research is focusing on Yoga as an intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Aside from working as an Autistic Support Teacher for a local school District (and was awarded Autistic Support Teacher of the Year, 2006-2007, honored by the Philadelphia Right to Education Task Force) she has also served children in her community as a developmental behavior assessment consultant, and an early intervention special instructor. She is the proud mother of two daughters, who also share a love for yoga...her little yogini's. |

Ayana’s journey to yoga began as dancer searching for a new path and career. Not sure where or how to be begin, she stumbled upon her first Power Vinyasa Yoga class in 2005, and ever since then, has never looked back! Energized by the vigorous style of the Baron Baptiste method, and inspired by the powerful transformation of yoga, Ayana decided to make this profound movement her own. After completing her 200HR certification, she set out to use her deep and transformational experience to lead the Greater Philadelphia area into a better lifestyle and community. “Since becoming a yoga teacher, my strength, spirituality and practice have grown tremendously. I have acquired a vast set of knowledge and skills that have led me towards a path of self healing and enlightenment – a path I continue to share with all my students.” Ayana continues to further her studies in the power vinyasa method, ayurvedic studies, and perfecting her craft in Nuad Bo-Rarn (Thai yoga massage and meditation). Penelope began practicing yoga as a way to stretch, strengthen, and soothe her body as she trained as a modern dancer. She studied Vinyasa Hatha Yoga under TaraMarie Perri in New York City, and began her certification in the Baptiste Power Yoga style under the tutelage of Bill Raup in Philadelphia. Penelope's class focuses on grounding and stretching of the mind and body together, moving at an organic rhythm while focusing on proper alignment and mindful transitions. She is honored to be able to work with her fellow yogis to find the light and purpose in each of their practices.
Penelope's love of yoga also stems from her love of dance, which brought her to Philadelphia in 2007 to join Philadanco! (The Philadelphia Dance Company), with which she tours as a performing member. She is thankful for this transition and the beautiful opportunities it has given her to share her passions with others. Namaste."

Maureen took her first yoga class in 1999 and has been in wonder of it's healing powers ever since. Her desire to be more connected with her body inspired her to enroll in the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, where she graduated in June of 2007 with a Diploma in Brennan Healing Science. Her senior project for the program was written on the connection between yoga and healing. Maureen believes that every body can benefit from a yoga practice and is passionate about helping others gain a deeper awareness of and connection to their body and internal energy. She earned her yoga teacher's certification from Dhyana Yoga in February 2007 and looks forward to learning about yoga and bodywork the rest of her life. “I love that yoga is a truly individual practice, that it's not about how easily you can touch your toes but how mindful you are getting there."
